In an attempt to get people to donate to the Amnesty Charity www.amnesty.org.uk/ Rhian is shaving her head bald and TheDeviantStandard are one of the many who would like to see this act not go down in vain.


Why Donate?

It's a question that faces many every time someone is asked to spare some change for a good cause and often enough it is easily ignored. The Standard implores you to have a look through this www.justgiving.com/rhianwaller if not to donate then to help make yourself aware of a rapidly growing devastation that is taking place in a land where people's rights have been ripped from their names and starvation and disease is rife.

As has said himself, "given the state of the Zimbabwean economy, you can make some people millionaires, for the cost of going without lunch today"

You don't need to shave your head to make a difference in the world, but it helps.

Changes have already met your Standard as new staff come in to brighten the pages of this journal to hopefully bring you even closer to the fabulous and talented artists that are taking up data within this site, and yet still more changes will come.

  The next set of interviews that will be made by The Standard will no longer be featured within the journal. Instead, to capture and keep the comments made by the watchers of The Standard, they will be moved straight to the submissions section within the interviewers Archive.

  The interviews existence, and the art featured, will still be shown within the journal but the bulk of the interview will be found within The Standards Gallery.

  If this proves to be a better way of viewing the interview then it will be kept, but please leave your comments of how you feel the new way of dealing with the interviews is going, if it's better, worse or not much of a difference.

  Remember, this isn't just The Deviant Standard, this is Your Deviant Standard, working to bring you closer to the art and the artist.
