What do you enjoy about art?
I have been a very visual person all my life. Apart from the eye-candy art is also a universal form of expression and communication. And it can be a glimpse into another persons universe.
When did you first realise you had a talent for photography?
Actually, from the feedback here at dA. I didnt register for quite a while after discovering deviantArt because after browsing this site I was so amazed by the many gre

Quirky, witty, fun, unique, and spunky -- these are all words which describe not only =Shannanigan's art, but which also could describe Shannanigan herself!! She is an artist who really interacts and responds to her viewers, and her fun personality shines not only through her art, but her comments as well.
Shannanigan characterizes her art as being comprised of a few different styles, all of which are black lined, but sometimes cartoony (Scaries), or Comicbook Inspired (DynaVeron) and

Getting artists and their art the publicity they need is important not just for their growth but for our own. As a thriving artistic community with lots of artists with questionable talent its easy to see good artists left in the shadows.
Another beneficial part of DeviantART is the many projects and competitions that go on that members of his site can get involved with and sometimes getting the publicity to help these events get off the ground can be challenging.
The Standard has had NewsFlash, a feature within The Standards journal, operating for some time and in this area you can advertise w

Meirou is an artist whose work whisks viewers away into a surreal and dreamy land, full of vibrant colors and indescribable beauty. At only 18 years old she has blossomed wonderfully in ability and creativity, and for only having been involved with art for about four years her skills are incredible. Her sense of lighting and composition and her ability to use color to create such atmospheric environments help to create beautiful pieces in which the viewer can enter her fantasy land and fully appreciate the dream-like nature of the images.
Meirou says she feels inspired by other artists here on Devian

Raised and resident of Southern California Sora admits she likes her hometown because its warm with no real winters to worry about. She enjoys drawing, swimming and creating.
I started drawing when I was ten because I wanted to draw people like the people in Digimon. It didnt look like talent then and Im not sure if its talent so much as the pure obsessive compulsive need to be good at it.
With art being her main hobby Sora explains that sketchbooks were a

Exclusive Interviews and Interview Shuffles
Because the Standard is all about the interviews it's important that people nominate who they feel should be interviewed to not only help them get the exposure they need but to help spread the fame of other great artists here on dA who might already be quite well known.
Because of the fantastic input the Watchers and Contributors of the Standard give we often have more nominees then we can show with exclusive interviews so now we see the birth of the Interview Shuffle. Here are both types of interviews explained.

The Deviant Standard was created for the purpose of getting under exposed artists the recognition they deserve while making it interesting for everyone.
The Standard works largely on nominations, that is to say if you drop the Standard an artists link then that artist has just been nominated for an interview.
Who is Under Appreciated?
Often the Standard wants to expose the art and artist of Deviants all over the site with stunning art but little recognition. This doesn't just mean how many pageviews the deviant may have, more so the amount of exposure each piece of art gets.
A good way of finding out if the art is getting the atte

The Standard is the account dedicated to bringing you closer to the artists behind the art and exposing the truths behind their creativity. Constant updates mean you will always see a new interview and with the ability to nominate you can put forward artists that you would love to see talking about themselves, their art and their interests.
You can help make the DeviantStandard bigger and better by sending the Standard news that you think is relevant to artists on dA and dropping suggestions of what you think

With fantastic pieces of work like these it's not hard to understand why I felt the need to interview this Deviant. A picture can tell a thousand stories but many of us (including myself) want to know exactly what lies behind these lovely images.

I've been gone far too long thanks to an errand I was called in for without notice (as my job often entails).
I am now reunited with my terminal to which I hope to stay.
An Interview to follow shortly.
hihi, I was wondering if you still even check this account (maybe you don't anymore), that I might do some interviews for it, to keep it alive? I know it has been quite a while!
